Municipal services

The fire department is made up of approximately 35 firefighters both full and part time. They are currently responding to calls for service from two stations located in Tracadie and Tracadie Beach. Our firefighters respond to many different types of emergencies such as fires, motor vehicle accidents, off-road vehicle accidents, hazardous material spills, water rescue, auto extraction (jaws of life), just to name a few.

Our firefighters are required to pass a physical aptitude test and they attend ongoing and continuous training to keep their skills at the high level required to adequately serve and protect the citizens of the Municipalité régionale de Tracadie.

Policing services are provided by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Our engineering and public works department takes care of our internal road network, its planning and everything related to water and sewage. Our team is continually on the job to ensure the quality of life and security of our citizens and to respond to urgent situations when they arise.
